ICY SIM accepts the following payment methods:

2. Payment Processing (PayerMax)
All payments on ICY SIM are processed by PayerMax, a licensed and globally compliant payment gateway. PayerMax handles the collection, verification, and settlement of your payment on our behalf.
When you complete a payment:
- Your payment details are transmitted directly and securely to PayerMax — they never pass through ICY SIM's servers in raw form
- PayerMax authenticates and processes the transaction
- PayerMax notifies ICY SIM of the result via a secure webhook
- ICY SIM then fulfils your order (provisions your eSIM)
PayerMax's payment services are subject to their own Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, which govern how they handle your payment data.
PayerMax supports 3D Secure (3DS) authentication. If your bank requires additional verification, you may be redirected to complete authentication before your payment is processed.
3. Payment Security
ICY SIM takes payment security seriously. Our security measures include:
- PCI DSS Compliance — PayerMax is PCI DSS Level 1 certified, the highest standard for payment security
- TLS Encryption — All payment data is transmitted over TLS 1.2+ encrypted connections
- No Raw Card Storage — ICY SIM never stores your full card number, CVV, or expiry date. We receive only a secure token from PayerMax
- 3D Secure — We support 3DS authentication for an additional layer of protection
- Fraud Detection — PayerMax employs real-time fraud screening to protect both customers and our platform
4. Saved Cards & Tokenisation
ICY SIM offers an optional "Save card for future payments" feature to make repeat purchases faster. Here is how it works:
- When you opt in, PayerMax creates a payment token representing your card — a secure reference that cannot be used to reconstruct your actual card number
- ICY SIM stores only this token plus the last 4 digits of your card and card brand (e.g., "•••• 4242 Visa") for display purposes
- PayerMax holds the full tokenised card data in their secure vault
- You can remove saved cards at any time from the "Payment Methods" section in the app or by contacting support
Saved cards are linked to your ICY SIM account and are never shared with third parties.
5. Currency & Pricing
All prices on ICY SIM are displayed and charged in USD (US Dollars) unless otherwise stated. If your card is issued in a different currency, your bank or card network will apply their standard exchange rate and may charge a foreign transaction fee.
ICY SIM is not responsible for currency conversion fees charged by your bank. We recommend checking with your bank if you are unsure about applicable fees.
Prices shown include all ICY SIM fees. There are no hidden charges — the price you see at checkout is the total amount you will be billed.
6. Billing & Receipts
When a payment is successful:
- A confirmation email is sent immediately to your registered email address with order details and the charge amount
- Your order appears in the ICY SIM app and website under "My Orders"
- The charge will appear on your bank statement as "ICY SIM" or "PayerMax" (depending on your bank)
If you need an official VAT receipt or invoice, please contact support@icysim.com with your order number.
7. Billing Disputes
If you believe you have been charged incorrectly, please contact us at support@icysim.com before raising a dispute with your bank. We investigate all billing concerns promptly and typically resolve them within 1–2 business days.
Initiating an unjustified chargeback after receiving a working eSIM may result in account suspension. PayerMax maintains detailed transaction logs that we will provide to your bank in such cases.
For legitimate billing errors, we will issue a full refund without requiring a chargeback.
8. Failed Payments
If your payment fails, your order will not be processed and no eSIM will be provisioned. Common reasons for payment failure include:
- Insufficient funds or credit limit reached
- Card declined by your bank (often a precaution for international transactions)
- 3D Secure authentication failed or timed out
- Incorrect card details entered
In the event of a failed payment, you will not be charged. If you see a pending charge that did not result in a successful order, this is a pre-authorisation that your bank will automatically release within 3–5 business days.
If you repeatedly experience payment failures, please contact your bank or try a different payment method.
