1. Overview
ICY SIM sells digital eSIM data plans. There is no physical product, no physical SIM card, and no postal or courier delivery involved. All products are delivered electronically, instantly, upon successful payment.
Because our products are digital, there are no shipping costs and no waiting times. Your eSIM is ready seconds after your payment is confirmed.
2. How Delivery Works
Once your payment is confirmed, the following happens automatically:
- eSIM Provisioning — Our system contacts our licensed eSIM network partner and allocates a unique eSIM profile specifically for your device
- QR Code Generation — A unique QR code and activation code are generated for your plan
- Delivery to Your App — Your eSIM appears instantly in the "My eSIMs" section of the ICY SIM mobile app
- Email Confirmation — A confirmation email is sent to your registered email address with your order details and eSIM access information
You can then scan the QR code from the ICY SIM app using your device's eSIM installer, or follow the manual activation code entry process.
3. Delivery Time

In the rare event of a provisioning delay exceeding 10 minutes, please contact our support team. If provisioning fails on our end, you will receive a full refund automatically.
4. Where You Receive Your eSIM
Your eSIM is delivered through two channels simultaneously:
- ICY SIM Mobile App (primary) — Open the app and navigate to My eSIMs. Your new plan will appear there with a QR code and activation code
- ICY SIM Website — Log in to your account at icysim.com and go to Account → My eSIMs to view your plans
- Email (secondary) — An order confirmation email with plan details is sent to your registered email address. Note: the QR code is accessible in the app — the email serves as a receipt and reference
Do not install your eSIM until you arrive at your destination or are ready to use it. Each eSIM QR code can only be scanned once. Once scanned, the profile is tied to your device.
5. Technical Requirements
To receive and install an eSIM, you need:
- A compatible eSIM device — Most recent iPhone (XS and later), Samsung Galaxy S20+, Google Pixel 3+, and many other modern smartphones
- A device that is carrier-unlocked — Locked devices cannot use eSIMs from other providers
- An active internet connection at the time of installation (Wi-Fi or existing mobile data)
- The ICY SIM mobile app installed (iOS or Android) to access your QR code conveniently
- Sufficient storage on your device (most eSIM profiles are very small, under 1 KB)

6. Failed or Missing Delivery
If your eSIM does not appear in the app or you do not receive a confirmation email within 5 minutes of payment, please:
- Refresh the "My eSIMs" section in the app
- Check your spam/junk email folder
- Ensure your payment was actually charged (check your bank statement)
- Contact us at support@icysim.com with your order details
If your payment was processed but your eSIM was not delivered due to a technical error on our end, we will either re-provision your eSIM or issue a full refund within 24 hours.
7. Installation Help
ICY SIM provides in-app installation guidance. You can also install your eSIM manually using the activation code without the QR code if needed.
General installation steps:
- Go to Settings → Cellular / Mobile Data → Add eSIM (varies by device)
- Scan the QR code from the ICY SIM app, or tap "Enter Details Manually" and input the SM-DP+ address and activation code
- Follow your device's prompts to complete installation
- Set the eSIM as your data line when travelling
